About Yoga
Yoga is an ancient system of self help that brings health and wellness to all levels of our being. It began in India thousands of years ago and is still practiced there today and all over the world. The Sanskrit word Yoga means ‘to unite’, yoga unites the mind, body and spirit through the breath (pranayama), postures (asana), meditation & relaxation (Sarvasana).

General Yoga

The approach of this class is based on Hatha Yoga whereby students go on a journey of self discovery through expression of movement using flows and postures, breath awareness techniques (pranayama) and then bringing them home to their true self in a guided relaxation (sarvasana) embodying the peace and the calm of yoga. If you would like to join this class please download the general yoga registration form and bring with you when you start. This course requires a deposit to confirm your place.

Pregnancy Yoga
These classes are suitable from 12 weeks to term to enhance your pregnancy and prepare you for birth, both in body and mind in a warm and nurturing space. Using gentle stretches, postures, swiss balls and pelvic floor exercises, to energise and relax, build strength, flexibility and confidence. Also breath awareness techniques for labour, relaxation and calm. Yoga helps to reduce common complaints during pregnancy like restless legs, anxiety and sleeplessness. Don't worry if you have never practised Yoga before its a great time to start this class is usually Mum's first experience of Yoga. It's never too late to start even if you only have a few weeks to go the relaxation, preparation through movements and breath are really beneficial.
